(IRNA) - Austrian Foreign Minister Ursula Plassnik, whose country is currently the rotating chairman of European Union (EU), said in a statement "Group 8 and EU support joint proposals of EU3, (Britain, France, Germany) and the US, China and Russia to Iran.
The statement, which was published on Wednesday here, said, "Iran's nuclear program is one of the items of next G8 meeting agenda."
Plassnik underlined that the extensive international support given to the proposals will bear more legitimacy for Javier Solana, in charge of EU foreign policy, action, reports Trend.
Foreign ministers of Group 8 will gather Thursday in Moscow to prepare items for G8 summit on July 12, 2006.
According to the statement, issues like North Korea, Afghanistan, Africa, West Balkan, Middle East and Iraq will be discussed on Thursday meeting.
