A meeting dedicated to the commencement of a new school year was held at the Military School of Turkish land troop in Ankara.
Trend Special Correspondent reports that Ulker Bashbug, Commander of the Turkish land troops, addressing officers and students of the school, stated that for the first time in its history the Country has been faced with threats for its secular principles. He stressed the existence of foreign and internal threats and plans to hinder its progress.
The Turkish Armed Forces, who will not be indifferent towards attacks on national, unitary and secular countries will oppose them, he stressed.
Bashbug said that the secular system of the country is the cornerstone of democracy in Turkey.
