Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparst during a press conference on Tuesday said that U.S. senior officials should pay attention to their citizens' problem instead of negotiating with the countries to invite them to join sanctions against Iran.
The U.S. Secretary of State Hillari Clinton started her trip to Asian countries last week.
Clinton said during his visit to both China and India that the U.S. wants these countries to reduce Iranian oil crude imports even more.
The U.S. and its allies are seeking international support for a campaign to pressure Iran over its nuclear program which they say is a cover for building atomic weapons and Iran says is for civilian purposes.
Mehmanparast said that if the U.S. citizens are informed how much the U.S. officials' policy damages this country's national interest, it will affect the result of the U.S. upcoming presidential elections.
"The U.S. officials should draw lesson from Sarkozy's fate," he added.
According the result of French presidential elections announced on May 7, Francois Hollande could gain victory over Nicolas Sarkozy scoring 52 per cent of votes compared to Sarkozy's 48 per cent of votes.
The U.S. presidential elections will be held in November 2012.
