Opposition members not participate in inauguration ceremony of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejat (UPDATE)

Inauguration ceremony of the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejat took place, Iranian state television said.

Supreme leader and head of state Ayatollah Ali Khamenei must approve the decree on assumption of elected President for his position upon the Iranian Constitution. The second presidential term for Ahmadinejat will be launched. 

Official ceremony was held in central Tehran mosque Hoseynye of imam Khamenei. Iranian officials, ambassadors of foreign Republics and foreign guests participated in the ceremony.

Ahmadinejat will be on oath on August 5.

The President must submit new staff of the government within two weeks to the Parliament after taking his position.

Supporters of lost opposition leader Mir-Hossein Mousavi accused authority of falsification of voting results and called on their cancellation after results of presidential elections were announced in Iran on June 12. Roughly 27 people died, 1,000 people were arrested as a result of mass disorders in Tehran. 

Partial recounting of votes held by Iranian supreme legislative agency -Council of Iranian Guards upon Iranian Constitution did not impact final results of presidential elections. Ahmadinejat won elections. 

Ex-candidate for president, Mohsen Rezai, participated in this ceremony, ILNA agency said. According to information, Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, chairman of the advisability council and chairman of Islamic Consultative council, ex-president Mohammad Khatami, ex-candidates for president Mir-Hossein Mousavi, Mehdi Karrubi did not participate in the ceremony.
