Military-naval trainings in the Persian Gulf and Strait of Ormuz are scheduled for late January, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps commander, Admiral Morteza Safari said, Ilna agency reported.
"There is necessity in strengthening Iran's military power due to instable situation in the Middle East. On this regards, Iran will conduct military-naval trainings in the Persian Gulf and Strait of Ormuz," he said.
During trainings Iran's new military technique will be tested, he said.
Early February large-scale military land trainings will be held, MEHR agency reported with reference to Iran's military land forces commander, Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Purdastan.
