Azerbaijan, Baku, May 6 / Trend/
Two prisoners have been executed in the Sari city of Iran's Mazandaran province, the MEHR news agency reported.
The Sari City Prosecutor's Office reported that the prisoners were accused of drug trafficking and use.
World media reports that Iran has executed about 80 people who were accused of drug trafficking and rape since early 2011.
The UN and Amnesty International repeatedly asked Iran to stop the executions. Human rights defenders believe the number of executions in the country exceeds the official data.
