Iran's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi says more than 700 Iranian nationals, held in detention abroad on various charges, have been released since the beginning of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2011), Press TV reported.

"Iran's Foreign Ministry considers itself duty-bound to resolve the problems of every Iranian individual in any part of the world," Salehi said.

He called on Iranian nationals to observe international regulations and said some people behave in such a way that runs counter to international law and create problems.

The minister urged Iranian travelers to act in accordance with the respective country's regulations to prevent the occurrence of any problems for Iran's executive bodies.

Currently, around 5 million Iranians reside abroad.
