The Tehran Stock Exchange's value has increased by 28.8 trillion rials (some $2.3 billion) by offering 10 percent of the Parsian Oil and Gas Company's shares on the market, Mehr quoted TSE Managing Director Hassan Qalibaf Asl as saying.
The capital market's value has reached 1,260 trillion rials (around
$103 billion), the Securities and Exchange Organization's director announced on Jan. 28.
"Taking the over-the-counter market into account, the figure is 1,560 trillion rials (some $127 billion)," Ali Saleh-Abadi said, IRNA reported.
While stock markets in the Middle East and North Africa have seen a poor year in 2011, the Tehran Stock Exchange experienced an unprecedented growth of 30 percent, the Economist said.
