Iran's Permanent Representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency Ali Asghar Soltanieh said on Saturday Amano's new report proves peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear activities, IRNA reported.

Moments after the IAEA's Director General Yukiya Amano confirmed that there has been no diversion in Iran's nuclear programs, Soltanieh said Amano's report once again proves IAEA's complete supervision of Iran's nuclear program, Iran's full cooperation with the United Nations watchdog and the peaceful nature of the programs.

"IAEA report showed Tehran's progress in nuclear technology including enrichment, as well as its complete cooperation with the agency. The 11 page report which includes reports on inspection of 16 nuclear centers and 10 secondary sites proves the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear activities." Soltanieh said

Pointing to Amano's recent visit to Tehran and his meetings with Iranian officials, he said the visit was an important part of Iranian officials' efforts to win the trust of IAEA and answer its questions.

"Iran has produced 6,197 kilograms of 5 percent enriched uranium and 145.6 kilograms of 20 percent enriched uranium under the IAEA supervision," he added.

Amano's latest report, issued on Friday, was delivered to the IAEA Board of Governors.

The report reiterated that the IAEA confirms the absence of any diversion in the country's nuclear program which is under the supervision of the UN nuclear watchdog.

Amano's latest report on Iran's nuclear program will be discussed during the next meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors in Vienna on June 4.
