Iran's Foreign Ministry has invited the Iranian nation as well as Muslims across the globe to take part in the Quds Day rallies, Press TV reported.
Back in 1979, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan was designated by the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, as Quds Day. On the day, Muslims around the globe stage rallies in solidarity with the Palestinian nation.
The Quds Day rallies are held annually on the last Friday of the month of Ramadan.
Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a statement regarding the talks between Tel Aviv and the Palestinian Authority, which says "These talks, within their predetermined framework, can never guarantee the interests and legitimate demands of the oppressed people of Palestine".
The statement further said that the only way to save the Palestinian nation is through unity between the Palestinian people and leaders.
Fars news agency reported quoting the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution of Iran Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, who said that "Palestine will certainly become free and will be returned to the people".
According to Fars, the Quds Day will be celebrated in 80 countries.
Rallies will be held this year amid a recent effort by the US Secretary of State John Kerry to restart the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.
On July 29, representatives of the Palestinian Authority and the Israel started the "sustained, continuous and substantive" talks on a long-sought Middle East peace treaty.
