BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 17. President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order exempting the import of defense-related goods in Azerbaijan from taxes and customs duties, Trend reports.
The amendment to the Law “On Customs Tariff” states that the import of technologies, equipment, components, materials, and raw materials by entities engaged in the design, production, sale, repair, and maintenance of defense products (including military equipment for combat purposes, weapons, ammunition, explosives, and their components) is exempt from customs duties, provided they have a confirming document from a designated body or institution approved by the relevant executive authority.
Additionally, the amendment to the Tax Code exempts the sale, repair, and maintenance of defense articles produced by these entities from taxes.
