BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 15. Within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with NATO Assistant Secretary General for Innovation, Hybrid Technologies and Cyberspace Jean-Charles Ellermann-Kingombe, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said, Trend reports.
The issues of the existing partnership between Azerbaijan and NATO, prospects for cooperation within the framework of Azerbaijan's chairmanship of COP29 were discussed at the meeting.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted with satisfaction that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the Partnership for Peace program, which marked the beginning of cooperation between our country and NATO, within the framework of which a number of joint projects are being implemented in the context of mutual cooperation.
It was noted that Azerbaijan's exemplary participation in NATO peacekeeping operations over the 30 years of our partnership, as well as our country's active participation in mutually beneficial cooperation within NATO, have led to the recognition of our country as a reliable partner.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
