President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today attended the opening of a new bridge built over the Kur River in Sabirabad District.
Prior to the opening ceremony, the Head of State met local residents.
Then, the Azerbaijani leader viewed photo stands reflecting a scheme of the bridge.
The President was informed that the construction of the bridge started in July, 2011. The project cost 8.9 million manats.
The bridge links the city of Sabirabad with 16 villages of Shirvan and 3 villages of Kurdamir.
The facility is 153 meters in length, and 10.7 meters in width.
The Head of State cut a ribbon symbolizing the opening of the bridge.
