BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 19. As part of COP29-related activities, the Media Development Agency and the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company organized a media tour on November 18, showcasing the natural and historical treasures of Gobustan, Trend reports.
The tour began with a visit to the Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where foreign journalists explored an extraordinary collection of over 6,000 ancient petroglyphs. Detailed insights into the significance and history of these rock carvings were provided.
The media representatives also visited Gobustan's renowned mud volcanoes—a distinctive natural phenomenon, including the Gylyndzh mud volcano. At the Mud Volcanoes tourist complex, they received information on the geological features and therapeutic properties of these unique formations.
