BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 18. Clean Energy Jabrayil LLC and Baku Steel Company have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on a solar power project aimed at supplying renewable energy to Baku Steel Company via the central grid network, Trend reports.

The project, which involves the development of a 100 MW solar power plant in the Soltanli village of Jabrayil, consists of two parts: Shams and Horizon solar stations, each with a 50 MW capacity. The solar power generated will be used to meet the energy needs of the local manufacturing sector. The energy from both solar plants will be supplied to Baku Steel Company, along with other offtakers.

The solar plants will be developed by two dedicated investment vehicles, Enerso Jabrayil, a Nobel Energy subsidiary and Clean Energy Jabrayil by Clean Energy Investment LLC, each committed to driving green energy initiatives.

This initiative supports Azerbaijan's green energy transition strategy and contributes to the country's sustainable development goals.
