Cargo transshipment from France by Turkish ports disclosed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 16. Over 3.5 million tons of cargo were transported from France to Turkish ports from January through July 2023, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye said, Trend reports.

Vessels under the flag of Türkiye delivered 1.2 million tons of cargo to the ports of France, and vessels under the flags of other countries - 2.4 million tons.

Vessels under the flag of France did not deliver cargo to the ports of Türkiye during the specified period. In general, 312,913 tons of transit cargo were transported from France to the ports of Türkiye from January through July 2023.

Cargo traffic to Turkish ports by vessels under the Turkish flag amounted to 2.4 million tons, while under the flags of other countries - 30 million tons, during this period. In addition, a total of 6.1 million tons of transit cargo were transported from the Turkish ports in July 2023.

Moreover, Turkish ports received 227 million tons of cargo from January through July 2023. Cargo transportation by Turkish-flagged vessels through domestic ports amounted to 16.8 million tons.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Türkiye by vessels under the flags of other countries amounted to 210.2 million tons. In addition, Turkish ports handled 41 million tons of transit cargo in July 2023.

Furthermore, Turkish ports handled 394 million tons of cargo from January through July 2023.

Cargo transportation by vessels under the flag of Türkiye amounted to 28.4 million tons during the specified period, while under the flags of other countries amounted to 365.6 million tons.

In general, Turkish ports handled 81 million tons of transit cargo from January through July 2023.
