BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 22. Chinese company “TBEA Co., Ltd.” may sign a memorandum of understanding with Azerbaijan, Trend reports.

According to the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, it became known during the meeting of Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov with TBEA Co., Ltd. and PowerChina International Group.

At the meeting with Chairman of the Board of Directors of TBEA Xin Zhang presented data on the company's activities in the fields of production, engineering services, procurement, construction, transmission, and distribution of energy, as well as financing of infrastructure projects, including power plants and renewable energy sources.

Possibilities of cooperation with TBEA in the fields of renewable energy equipment manufacturing, technology supply, and participation in regional green energy infrastructure projects were discussed. The possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry and TBEA is being considered. The conversation also included discussions about cooperation within the framework of COP29.

Meanwhile, at the meeting with Vice President of PowerChina International Group Yang Yisheng, it was noted that the policy of the leaders of the two countries aimed at raising the level of Azerbaijan-China relations to a strategic partnership contributes to the development of large-scale cooperation in the field of green energy.

Within the framework of international activities related to the further development of renewable energy and the creation of green energy corridors, the sides discussed new prospects for cooperation with PowerChina.

Moreover, the company's involvement in the 240 MW wind power plant project in Khizi and Absheron, along with the auction process for the 100 MW solar power plant project in Gobustan, garnered satisfaction. The Caspian Sea wind power generation, transmission, and other areas of renewable energy have also invited PowerChina to cooperate.
