ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 22. Turkmenistan and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) discussed cooperation in the areas of solar and wind energy, the development and implementation of advanced energy storage and transmission technologies, Trend reports via Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
This issue was discussed during the visit of Director of the UNECE Sustainable Energy Division Dario Liguti to the ministry.
Alongside forging alliances in green energy, a keen eye was cast on trimming the fat off methane emissions.
Liguti also emphasized the importance of Turkmenistan's initiative, announced at the World Government Summit and supported during the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, to form an alliance for global energy security and sustainable development.
At the end of the day, both parties were on the same page, eager to join forces and tackle the pressing energy hurdles ahead.
