According to information, this was stressed at the meeting between Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali in Kazan.

Meanwhile, it was noted at the meeting that BRICS has a reformatory significance in regional and international issues.

Bilateral issues between Iran and Ethiopia were also discussed at the meeting.

BRICS is an intergovernmental organization established in 2006. Russia became the chair of BRICS on January 1, 2024. Currently, in addition to Russia, Brazil, India, China, and South Africa, the organization comprises Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. The BRICS summit will be held in Kazan from October 22 through October 24.
