BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 23. The number of applications for transportation from other countries to Kazakhstan on the platform of the international exchange ATI.SU has increased by 49 percent, the press service of the exchange told Trend.
"There has been a noticeable increase in demand for transportation from China - by 394 percent in annual terms and by 58 percent compared to the second quarter. However, the absolute figures in this direction are still small, so it is too early to talk about the reflection of the real market trend," the statement of the exchange says.
Meanwhile, it is noted that there is noticeable progress in other import destinations - the demand for road transportation from Russia, Lithuania, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan is growing.
"Domestic transportation is developing rapidly: the number of requests for cargo delivery in Kazakhstan in annual terms increased by 154 percent, compared to the second quarter - by 56 percent. The tendency to grow is confirmed by the Bureau of National Statistics. According to its data, for eight months of 2024, cargo transportation by road transport increased by 18.7 percent compared to the same period last year, and cargo turnover by road transport - by 24.7 percent," the information notes.
