BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 30. Since the beginning of 2023, 14,300 cubic meters of sawn timber have been exported from Russia's Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra to Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
According to the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation (Rosselkhoznadzor), the regulated products have passed all necessary examinations in the Tyumen phytosanitary testing laboratory of FGBI "ARRIAH". According to the results of conducted examinations quarantine organisms were not detected in shipped products, all products meet quarantine phytosanitary requirements of importing countries.
A total of 338,400 cubic meters of timber and sawn timber were exported from Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra.
Earlier in 2022, Azerbaijan reduced the purchase of Russian sawn timber by almost a quarter - to 0.602 million cubic meters.
Also, industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan in 2022 produced products worth 86 billion manat ($50 billion), which is 1 percent less year-on-year. The growth of sawn timber and timber products production for the year amounted to 13 percent.
