BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 9. The high-level ministerial dialogue on the new collective quantified goal on climate finance (NCQG) has kicked off in Baku, Trend reports.
"Today marked the opening of the high-level ministerial dialogue on NCQG in Baku, where the COP29 Presidency warmly welcomed delegates from all over the world for an important gathering on the road to COP29," the post on COP29 Presidency's X page reads.
Meanwhile, the NCQG is a vital component of the Paris Agreement, aimed at establishing a new financial target to assist developing countries with their climate actions beyond 2025.
COP29 will be held in November this year. The decision was made at the plenary meeting of COP28 held in Dubai on December 11 last year. Within two weeks, Baku, having become the center of the world, will host about 70,000-80,000 foreign guests.
