SHUSHA, Azerbaijan, October 8. The “Türktransplant” project of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) will be a great success shortly, the acting First Deputy Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Davron Sultanov told Trend on the sidelines of the IV meeting of health ministers of member countries and observers of the OTS in Shusha.
“This year, attention was paid to new endeavors related to various diseases. The issue of transplantation played an important role in the discussion. A protocol was signed for the establishment of a common project “Türktransplant”. I am confident that the project will achieve significant success shortly,” Sultanov said.
He added that all the projects and agreements signed at the meeting last year were discussed in Shusha.
The proposal to create a unified information system “Türktransplant” was put forward by Azerbaijan last year at the meeting in Samarkand.
To note, the IV meeting of the Ministers of Health of the OTS member and observer countries was held in Shusha city under the joint organization with the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan.
The event was attended by the Secretary General of the OTS, Ministers of Health of the member and observer countries, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district, as well as invited scientists from different countries.
