MOSCOW, Russia, October 8. Tajikistan will chair the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in 2025, said Russia's President Vladimir Putin, Trend reports.
The Russian President promised to support Tajikistan’s leader, Emomali Rahmon, as his country takes over the CIS chairmanship.
“After Russia, the chairmanship of the CIS will pass to our Tajik friends on January 1, 2025. We want to wish President Emomali Sharipovich Rahmon and all our colleagues in Tajikistan the best of luck. We’ll provide all the necessary support within our power,” he said.
