BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 9. The Innovation and Digital Development Agency (İRİA) is initiating strategic cooperation with startups Recepta and Clopos to implement digital receipts on a large scale in the restaurant sector as part of its COP29 mission, IRIA said in a statement, Trend reports.

IRIA will supervise the national deployment of this project, guaranteeing its effective execution.

Recepta will introduce digital receipt technology, making this solution widely accessible to restaurants, while Clopos will ensure technological integration through advanced POS systems.

The project is a win-win for entrepreneurs, the government, and customers alike, bringing a cornucopia of benefits to the table. Personalized digital receipts will be a game changer for customer service, shedding light on customer preferences and paving the way for targeted marketing for entrepreneurs. For international visitors and attendees of COP29, gathering and handing in digital receipts for expense reimbursement will be a walk in the park. Local folks will also reap the rewards from loyalty programs offered by a variety of producers and consumers.

Environmental benefits include reduced government paper waste and improved data analysis, enabling more progressive economic mechanisms. This campaign highlights Azerbaijan's environmental and digital innovation efforts.

The participating startup Recepta offers solutions that expedite the shift toward a "green" economy by reducing the need for paper receipts, while Clopos delivers innovative POS software and management systems tailored for the restaurant industry.
