BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 8. The sphere of higher education is going through a period of great changes, MP and vice rector of ADA University Fariz Ismailzade said during his speech at the Education Development Forum, Trend reports.
He noted that changes in technology, requirements in the labor market, and competition in education in a new format are factors affecting changes in higher education.
“Unfortunately, we have the format of higher education remained in the traditional form. We must change the format of higher education if we wish to successfully implement these changes in the future. It is necessary to take active steps in this direction. Centralized management of higher education also has its negative sides,” Ismailzade added.
To note, Baku is hosting the Education Development Forum.
The major objective of the Forum is to provide a proper platform for joint dialog and comprehensive support for the process of education development, as well as for sustainable partnerships between the state, universities, and industry.
The Forum annually provides a useful platform for discussing the most important issues concerning the current state of the country's education system, its integration into the economy, and prospects for public-private partnerships.
