MOSCOW, Russia, October 8. The CIS manifests a positive example of constructive interaction, the chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko said at the expanded format meeting of CIS Heads of State Council in Moscow, Trend reports.
“This is primarily the merit of the leaders of the CIS countries. Parliamentarians also play an important role in this process. The CIS Interparliamentary Assembly has shown its effectiveness as a platform for dialog. We work as one team of like-minded people,” she said.
Matvienko expressed confidence that in the new realities, the Assembly's experience will contribute to confidence strengthening.
“Until today, the Assembly has prepared 28 draft acts of international character. These model legislations are recommendatory. Most of them were used in the formation of national legislation,” she added.
