BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 18. Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with Bojan Kumer, the Minister of Environment, Climate, and Energy of the Republic of Slovenia, to discuss the potential for expanding existing ties in various energy sectors, according to a statement from the Azerbaijani Energy Ministry, Trend reports.
“The meeting covered issues on the agenda of bilateral and multilateral energy cooperation between the countries, including natural gas and renewable energy sources. The importance of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between SOCAR and Geoplin on June 17 in Baku, concerning gas supplies, was emphasized within the framework of expanding cooperation and promoting Slovenia's energy security,” the ministry noted.
The Slovenian minister provided detailed information on his country's energy system and energy transition plans.
Parviz Shahbazov, in turn, discussed industrial green energy projects and renewable energy export plans being implemented in Azerbaijan with international partners through private investments.
