BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 7. I saw with my own eyes the facts of Armenian vandalism when I visited these lands in Azerbaijan, Turkish religious leader Salahaddin Ozgunduz told Trend.
He emphasized that Islam considers destroying someone else's places of worship a great sin.
"It is unthinkable to keep pigs in a mosque, but Armenia did this. Not a single building is left standing. The occupiers demolished buildings, took the stones from them, and sold them. No one can live well by trampling on the rights of another people.
I salute the Azerbaijani people for returning to their ancestral lands. International courts must bring Armenia to justice for the horrors it committed here. May Allah grant peace to the souls of our martyrs and good health to our veterans," the cleric added.
To note, participants of the Global Baku Summit of World Religious Leaders are currently in Karabakh. As part of their visit, the delegation, led by the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, will get familiarized with the aftermath of Armenian vandalism during the occupation, as well as ongoing restoration and construction efforts, and will visit religious sites.
