AGHDAM, Azerbaijan, November 7. It is truly heartwarming to witness the ongoing restoration efforts in Karabakh, Chief Rabbi of the Baku Mountain Jews Synagogue Avraham Yakubov told Trend.
“Three years ago, when I visited Agdam, I was shocked by the extent of the destruction left behind by the Armenians during their occupation of these lands. Today, I am witnessing the remarkable reconstruction and revitalization efforts in Karabakh, and it fills me with immense joy,” Yakubov said.
Note that today commenced the tour to Karabakh by attendees of the Global Baku Summit of World Religious Leaders, themed "World Religions for a Green Planet," which is part of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The itinerary for the visit is all about getting the lay of the land when it comes to the rich cultural, spiritual, and historical tapestry of Azerbaijan's Aghdam and Shusha.
