BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 25. Two additional mechanical demining machines, produced under the "Made in Azerbaijan" brand by the "Improtex Industry" Group of Companies, will be deployed in humanitarian demining operations conducted by the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) in the liberated territories, Trend reports.
A handover ceremony for the mechanical demining machines took place at the 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition "ADEX 2024", held at the Baku Expo Center.
The "Revival P" and "Revival T" anti-personnel and anti-tank mechanical demining machines were donated to ANAMA by "Agro Dairy", one of Azerbaijan's leading agricultural companies.
The ceremony was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Board of ANAMA Bahruz Mammadov, CEO of "Improtex Industry" Farid Abdullayev, and Executive Director of "Agro Dairy" Niyazi Amirbayov, along with representatives from several other companies.
As part of the ceremony, the delegation visited the Agency’s booth at the ADEX 2024 exhibition, where they were introduced to the demining activities conducted in the liberated territories, demining statistics through an interactive map, tools and equipment used, samples of explosive ordnance discovered during demining operations in the liberated areas, and a simulation zone demonstrating demining activities in real time.
According to international mine action standards, mechanical demining machines are used to detect anti-personnel and anti-tank minefields, prepare areas for clearance, and reduce the size of suspected hazardous areas with the assistance of mine detection dogs.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the certificate for the mechanical demining machines was presented to the agency.
