Cargo transshipment from the Netherlands by Turkish ports disclosed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 19. Over 3.3 million tons of cargo were transported from the Netherlands to the ports of Türkiye from January through July 2023, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye said, Trend reports.

53,302 tons of goods were brought from the Netherlands to Turkish ports by ships using the Turkish flag, compared to 3.1 million tons by ships flying other flags. Over the course of the indicated time, ships flying the Dutch flag delivered 151,036 tons of goods to the ports of Turkey.

Additionally, from January through July 2023, 309,950 tons of transit cargo were delivered from the Netherlands to the ports in Turkey.

Additionally, 32.5 million tons of cargo were delivered to Turkish ports in July 2023. During this time, cargo traffic from ships flying the Turkish flag to Turkish ports was 30 million tons, compared to 2.4 million tons from ships flying other flags.

In addition, Türkiye's ports handled 6.1 million tons of transit cargo in July 2023.

Moreover, Turkish ports received 227 million tons of cargo from January through July 2023. Cargo transportation by Turkish-flagged vessels through domestic ports amounted to 16.8 million tons.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Türkiye by vessels under the flags of other countries amounted to 210.2 million tons.

In general, Turkish ports handled 81 million tons of transit cargo from January through July 2023.
