Uzbekistan supports the agreements on the key parameters of the joint comprehensive action plan between Iran and the P5+1 reached in Lausanne on Apr.2, Uzbek Foreign Ministry said Apr.14.

Uzbekistan expects that the framework agreements will create solid foundation for reaching a comprehensive agreement able to make a serious contribution to strengthening of the international peace and security, the ministry said in its statement.

It is planned to complete the preparation of the agreement by June 30. This is while EU will lift the sanctions on Iran if the latter fulfills the reached agreements.

"As the initiator of signing of the nuclear weapon-free zone agreement in the Central Asia which has become an integral part of the global disarmament system, Uzbekistan speaks for the complete elimination of weapons of mass destruction, supports the efforts of the international community aimed at providing all-round non-proliferation regime, as defined by the UN Charter and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons," said the statement.
