Azercell has joined the "Support for the Socio-Economic Activity of Young People with Disabilities" initiative, a project led by the DOST Agency, UNICEF Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan Public Employment Agency.
As part of the "Student Acceleration Program”, the leading mobile operator has organized targeted training sessions to help individuals with disabilities gain greater access to the labor market. Through this initiative, Azercell aims at equipping participants with critical skills and knowledge essential for success in today’s evolving workforce.
In these sessions, Azercell focused on fostering professional development and expanding employment opportunities for young people. Nearly 40 students aged 18-29 participated, gaining insights on topics such as “Building Your Career,” opportunities in the labor market, and essential strategies for career advancement.
In the upcoming phase, participants will receive additional vocational training, career counseling, and tailored technical skills training aligned with their fields of interest. The project will also include job fairs and networking events to connect participants with potential employers.
The project, implemented by the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment and promoting equal employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
