BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 5. The cooperation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan plays a crucial role in the success of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Kazakh political analyst and assistant professor at the Department of Media Communications and History of Kazakhstan at the International University of Information Technology Aigerim Zhampetova told Trend.
“Today, the partnership between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan is thriving and covers a wide range of areas, including trade, culture, and education. Both countries are committed to strengthening the influence of the OTS as a major regional organization, which underscores their dedication to economic integration,” she noted.
The analysts also emphasized the importance of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, which runs through Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, helping to expand trade ties between Central Asia and Europe.
“At the upcoming summit in Bishkek, there will be discussions on ways to streamline customs procedures, which could significantly boost trade flows,” she added.
Zhampetova expressed confidence that deeper cultural and educational exchanges would foster mutual understanding and support between the two nations.
“Developing scientific initiatives and collaborative research opens up new opportunities for deepening bilateral ties, making the partnership between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan particularly relevant in today’s world,” the expert concluded.
The 11th Summit of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States will be held in Bishkek on November 6. This year’s theme is “Strengthening the Turkic World: Economic Integration, Sustainable Development, Digital Future, and Security for All.”
