Heydar Aliyev International Airport connects Baku with more than 80 international destinations, positioning Azerbaijan as a global travel hub. The airport's extensive route network spans major European cities such as London, Paris, and Rome, as well as destinations in the Middle East, Central Asia, and South Asia, offering passengers a wide range of travel options.
"We are strengthening existing connections to provide passengers with a comfortable and high-quality travel experience," said Teymur Hasanov, Director of Heydar Aliyev International Airport. "Our goal is to make Baku an attractive center for global travelers, both as a transit and final destination."
The airport stands out with its modern infrastructure, efficient transfer facilities, and passenger-centered services. High international standards are maintained to ensure the comfort and safety of every traveler.
The airport's growing significance is confirmed by recent statistics. In October 2024, Heydar Aliyev International Airport served over 631,000 passengers, a 26% increase compared to the same period last year. A total of 4,779 flights were operated that month. International airlines accounted for 51.1% of passengers on international routes. Notably, the number of transit passengers saw a significant increase of 137%, reaching 33,000, further strengthening Baku's position as an international transit hub.
Currently, 39 airlines operate at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, including 18 low-cost carriers, providing passengers with more affordable travel options.
