BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 5. Danish-Azerbaijani society "Vatan" organized an event "Victory" in Copenhagen dedicated to November 8 - the Day of Victory, Trend reports via Azerbaijan's State Committee for Work with Diaspora.
Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora Fuad Muradov expressed gratitude to the "Vatan" society for organizing such an event in Denmark, noting that the celebration of Victory Day is a source of pride all over the world.
The video clip dedicated to Victory Day was demonstrated at the event, in which speeches of victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev were reflected, our tricolor flag was hoisted to the sounds of patriotic songs and national music, and it was emphasized that the Great Victory gained in the 44-day Second Karabakh War is a symbol of the power of Azerbaijani people and has no analogs.
Chairwoman of Zafar Public Association for Support of Martyrs' Families Sevinj Orujova talked of feats of the Azerbaijani Army and the life path of national hero Raguf Orujov that led him to the heroic peak, shared with the participants of the event the feeling of pride on Victory Day, and emphasized the support given by First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva to the families of Martyrs' Families.
“First Vice President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva always pays attention to the families of martyrs. I will never forget her meeting with the families of martyrs. After this meeting, I felt even stronger,” Orujova said.
The event was addressed by Narmin Khalilova, board member of the Zafar Public Association for Support of Martyrs' Families, writer Eluca Atali, honorary member of the Writers' Union of Azerbaijan, and Turkish historian Bahadur Guler, living in Denmark.
The poem dedicated to martyrs performed by our little compatriot Davud Gubatov, born and raised in Copenhagen, as well as the virtuoso performance of sazist Farhad Ugur, pleased the participants of the event.
