BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 5. Kyrgyzstan and Hungary will sign a declaration on expanded strategic partnership, the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov said at a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in the extended format within the framework of the official visit, Trend reports.
“The Declaration on Expanded Strategic Partnership between the Kyrgyz Republic and Hungary, which we are signing today, confirms the mutual determination of the parties to continue the course of strengthening bilateral ties in the spirit of friendship, brotherhood, mutual respect, and trust,” Zhaparov said.
The President noted that as a result of mutual efforts, the Kyrgyz-Hungarian Strategic Council has been established and is successfully functioning, and the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund is operating. The Kyrgyz-Hungarian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation and the Rectors' Forum of Universities are actively functioning.
“I would like to touch upon the activities of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, which has already become a key instrument for supporting and implementing joint projects aimed at strengthening economic ties between our countries. With satisfaction, we note that, owing to the support of the Fund, significant projects are being successfully implemented in Kyrgyzstan in such key areas as agriculture, engineering, and hydropower. This support contributes to sustainable development and improving the quality of life of our population,” Zhaparov said.
