BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 5. The Ministry of Emergency Situations held a regular meeting on November 5 to discuss preparations for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) to be held in Baku, Trend reports.
According to the information, the meeting headed by Minister for Emergency Situations Colonel General Kamaladdin Heydarov was attended by deputy ministers, heads of relevant structural subdivisions, and institutions of the Ministry.
Addressing the meeting, Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov talked about the importance of COP29, expressing confidence that this prestigious event will be held at a high level. Stressing once again the tasks assigned to the Ministry of Emergency Situations in this context, the Minister noted that the work in this regard is carried out consistently and systematically.
Subsequently, the meeting heard extensive reports from the members of the headquarters set up in the Ministry of Emergency Situations in connection with the preparations for COP29 on the work carried out since the last meeting on the action plan approved in the Ministry and held discussions on the subject.
Summarizing the results of the meeting, Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov once again expressed confidence that the tasks facing the ministry in connection with the event will be fulfilled at a high level and gave relevant instructions.
