A delegation of the Turkish Armed Forces, headed by the Rector of the Land Troops Academy Maj. Gen. Selim Merti paid a visit to Georgia.
Georgian Deputy Defence Minister Mikhail Darchiashvili and First Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Colonel Vladimir Chachibaya met with a delegation of Turkish servicemen.
The sides discussed issues of intensifying the partnership and cooperation in military education.
Darchiashvili updated the visitors with the reforms conducted in the Georgian Defence Ministry and thanked Turkey for its assistance rendered to the country in the military sphere.
The Turkish delegation visited the David the Builder's National Defence Academy and the Krtsanisi National Training Centre.
