BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 19. The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Forum on Climate Resilient Villages opens opportunities for active cooperation among OTS members, Kyrgyzstan's Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Mirbek Duisheyev said at the event "From Global Goals to Local Action: Regional Initiatives on Strengthening Climate Resilient Villages," Trend reports.

He pointed out that the Kyrgyz side rolled out the red carpet for the initiative to set up the Climate Resilient Villages Forum.

“The Kyrgyz side recognizes that village resilience plays an important role in global efforts to mitigate climate change, improve food security, and promote sustainable rural development. In this regard, we express our readiness to actively support this initiative,” the deputy minister said.

He believes that Kyrgyzstan is banking on this forum to play a pivotal role in bringing the decisions made at COP29 to fruition.

“We are convinced that only through a united effort of the international community can climate change be effectively addressed,” he said.
