BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 19. The next package of social reforms prepared on the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev will be discussed within the next year's budget in the coming days, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Azerbaijan Sahil Babayev said, Trend reports.
He made the remark at a joint meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament Committees on Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology, Labor and Social Policy, Health, International Relations, and Interparliamentary Ties.
The Minister noted that the government has been sent instructions to raise the minimum wage, pensions, and social benefits.
“The budget of the Unemployment Insurance Fund of the State Social Protection Fund of Azerbaijan will be widely discussed at the meeting of the Committee on Labor and Social Policy to be held on November 21. A total of 7.2 billion manat ($4.2 billion) is envisaged to finance labor pensions, which is 11 percent more than in the current year," he added.
