BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 19. Climate-related expenses have already been reflected in next year's budget of Azerbaijan, the country's Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov said during a joint meeting of the parliamentary committees on natural resources, energy and ecology, labor and social policy, health, international relations, and inter-parliamentary relations today, Trend reports.
He pointed out that one of the most prestigious global events, COP29, is taking place in Baku, where climate issues and their impact on people's daily lives are being discussed.
"Azerbaijan is globally presenting its viewpoint on these issues. We have already begun addressing this in the budget. Climate-related expenditures are already reflected in next year's budget," Sharifov added.
