TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 17. The Bonds, Loans & ESG Capital Markets CEE, CIS & Türkiye 2024 conference, hosted by Global Banking and Markets (the leading meeting platform for financial sector professionals), will take place in Istanbul on November 19-20, Global Banking and Markets told Trend.

As the premier event for international financial institutions in Central and Eastern Europe, CIS, and Türkiye, it will focus on opportunities in Central Asia, attracting key industry players interested in the region's dynamic financial landscape.

This will be the largest event of its kind in the region, bringing together over 600 leading participants, including governments, corporations, investors, banks, law firms, regulators, and service providers. The event will feature more than 70 expert speakers from institutions such as the IFC, Deutsche Bank, ING, S&P Global, Fitch Ratings, Moody’s, and others.

Central Asia, and specifically Uzbekistan, will take center stage at the event with the key panel discussion titled "How and why has Uzbekistan become the focal point of the CIS’s capital markets?". It will highlight Uzbekistan’s evolving capital markets and how they are becoming a model for the region.

A central theme of the Bonds, Loans & ESG Capital Markets event will be the integration of ESG practices into capital markets. This is a critical component for Central Asian countries as they look to secure sustainable, long-term growth. The event topics will include sovereign issuance outlook, financial strategies in various countries of the region, loan market perspectives in 2025, transition finance, application of international and regional frameworks, taxonomies, regulations in the region, and many more.

The panel on Uzbekistan will feature prominent experts, such as Ex-Deputy Minister of Finance of Uzbekistan and CEO and Co-Founder of Infrasia Capital LLC Odilbek Isakov and Chief Financial Officer of UzAuto Motors Kamoliddin Umurzakov. They will discuss Uzbekistan’s recent economic reforms and market liberalization policies that have attracted significant foreign investment and strengthened confidence in its capital markets.

The Bonds, Loans & ESG Capital Markets event will take place alongside two other key events—Mergers & Acquisitions and Equity Capital Markets—as part of the Global Banking & Markets: CEE, CIS & Türkiye 2024 Annual Meeting.
