BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 17. The capital of Azerbaijan once again attracts the attention of gymnastics fans: Baku is hosting the European TeamGym Championship from October 16 through 19, Trend reports.
According to the information, the competition includes team performances on three apparatuses - TeamGym carpet, tumbling track, and mini-trampoline. At the National Gymnastics Arena, the best teams in Europe fight for the title of continental champion.
TeamGym has been developing in Azerbaijan since 2018, and today there are already formed both professional athletes and coaches, as well as qualified judges. Not only individual skills are important for winning in this sport but also coordinated teamwork, as well as the willingness of athletes to cope with physical and psychological stress.
The competition is attended by teams from the Czech Republic, Denmark, Austria, Estonia, Finland, Great Britain, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Norway, and Sweden, as well as the national team of Azerbaijan, representing the hosts of the championship.
