The next session of the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Committee has started in the UN Office at Geneva.
The agenda of the session envisages reviewing the reports from the governments of Georgia, Ireland, Malawi, Sudan, Chile and Japan on implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, UN Radio reported.
The committee will hear Georgia's report from July 10 to July 11.
UN Human Rights Committee is composed of 18 experts and it reviews periodic reports from the countries about which measures they take to implement the terms of the covenant.
The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights was adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1966 and commenced after 10 years.
