BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 19. Expenses related to the reconstruction and restoration of territories liberated from occupation are projected for the period from 2025 through 2028 at 14.6 billion manats ($8.5 billion), which constitutes 28.9 percent of capital expenditures, the report by the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan said, Trend reports.
Capital expenditures of the state budget by the end of the medium-term period are projected to be at the level of 11.7 million manat ($6.9 million) compared to the approved figure for 2024, with a decrease of 3.5 million manat ($2.1 million), or 23.3 percent.
The report highlights that in the medium term, a significant portion of government budget expenditures is accounted for by the implementation of the "Great Return" program and the strengthening of the country's defense and security.
