BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 18. Regional activities and dialogue are becoming increasingly important against the backdrop of foreign forces stepping up their dangerous agenda in the region, including engaging in controversial militarization, trying to project geopolitical escalation, and dividing lines in the region, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said during a speech at a meeting in the “3+3” format in Istanbul, Trend reports.
Furthermore, it was noted that since the restoration of independence, Azerbaijan has been carrying out mutually beneficial cooperation with the states of the region, taking into account mutual respect and a balance of interests, as a result of which several projects of regional and global importance, such as Baku-Tbilisi-Kars and the North-South Corridor, have been implemented. It was expressed with hope that communications connecting the Eastern Zangezur economic region and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan through the territory of Iran will also be completed soon.
To note, the meeting of the Foreign Ministers in "3+3" format was held in Tehran on October 23 last year. Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Russia, Türkiye, and Armenia also took part in the meeting in the “3+3” format.
