BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 17. The growth rate of production of industrial facilities of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan from January through March 2023 reached 8.2 percent, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Atdaev at a meeting of the government.
According to him, in the reporting period, the growth rate of trade turnover amounted to 16.2 percent year-on-year.
Furthermore, Atdayev noted that from January through March 2023, according to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the growth rate of agricultural and food production reached 22.7 percent, and industrial production – 7.2 percent year-on-year.
Due to the increasing dynamics of the construction of industrial and social facilities in Turkmenistan, the industry is becoming one of the major sectors of the economy.
