BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. Mastercard will establish a consulting group in Azerbaijan in 2024, Vice President for Business Development of Mastercard Mehmet Gulez said, during a press conference, Trend reports.
“The significant expansion of our advisory services in Azerbaijan, particularly in 2022 and 2023, has made Azerbaijan the world's fastest-growing country and the top in terms of advice revenue consumed by households. As a result of all of this, as a Mastercard advisory service, we decided to establish an advisory group in Azerbaijan in 2024 and strengthen our investments,” he said.
He said Mastercard's objective will be to contribute to the development and growth of the consulting sector in Azerbaijan every year, create new jobs, and bring global knowledge and expertise to Azerbaijan in the best possible way.
“Although this team we will create will initially serve our clients in Azerbaijan, in the coming years it will also serve all surrounding countries from Baku,” he added.
Mastercard is an international payment system that provides financial services, including credit, debit, and prepaid cards. It allows its holders to make cashless payments at millions of points of sale around the world. Mastercard also provides technology solutions for banks, merchants, and other financial institutions.
